This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Very irresponsible for leaving that up there. Another website has taken the story and republished it, only without the April Fool's date.
In the back of my mind, I cannot help but think that this is an oblique reference not only to the Ancient Vermont conference of 1979, which attempted to address the controversy surrounding Barry Fell's book America BC and his claim that many of the Vermont stone chambers were Celtic, but also to those who have rather outrageous views about the prehistory of New England.
I think you are right Norman, there is an implicit snydeness.
