This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Minor Roadside Attraction - Rt 62 Berlin MA
On my way back from seeing some new things at Mt Pisgah, I looked carefully into the woods downhill from Rt 62 just west of Sawyer Hill Rd. The leaves are off the trees so visibility into the woods is good and I thought I spotted a couple of rock piles on the slope on the other side of the little wetland. So I stopped and stepped down in there and across.
Sure enough there were faint traces of a site. To me this looks like a remnant marker pile site - because it is on a slope.
