This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

A bit of field wall in Westford
This wall was definately along a field so I assumed the rock pile was from field clearing. Then the wall had a little triangular extension that FFC noticed.Another view:And here is a detail of the cream colored quartz or quartzite rock in the center of the last picture:An interesting feature, wouldn't ya say?
