A curved rock pile in a break out zone - Shrewsbury, MA

Tracking down the spot I drove past last weekend, this large pile was at the edge of a break -out zone where a brook is forming.Here is a little video. I was wrong about there being more rock piles further on. The site did not continue down hill from this big pile. It stretched back uphill to a point that was maybe only 20 yards from the highway.

I was wrestling with whether this pile was from field clearing. The careful construction of the facing and the pile's placement at the edge of water are the deciding factor for me.
