The above photo appears in the Spring 2008 Crosspaths newsletter published by the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. The caption reads, "Happy campers gather at Balancing Rock at Mashantucket."The camp was called Science Learning and Cultural Wisdom and it was a two-week summer camp for Mashantucket Pequot youths. In the article, it says camp activities included, "visiting and reflecting on historic and sacred places on the reservation, such as Balancing Rock and Council Rock."
