Stone walls are not all made by colonial farmers

Norman Muller writes:

Larry Harrop sometimes takes video clips of interesting things he sees, and the one below is of a "wall" in a wildlife management area in Westerly, RI. Those who claim that all walls in New England were built by colonial farmers should have a look at this and then try to explain it, particularly trying to move the huge boulders in place, and sometimes on top of small rocks! From what I can tell, this so-called wall is in an isolated area of the park. This construction bears close study.

amazing! it must have taken tremendous man power to make this wall. what leverage system did they use to build this wall? we see this propped boulder feature a lot in small piles but to make a very long wall? We all would love to know the meaning here. My gut feeling is maybe it is some kind of tribal storytelling stonework? It has that "look" to it, that it is trying to tell something.
