This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Boat Rudder shaped rocks
This is from Stow, MA. It is a particularly nice example of a rock shaped like a boat rudder and used in a rock pile. I have seen a lot of this shape, most often part of a pair on a rock for example this one from Acton: Is this (from Boxborough) a variation? Perhaps someone would say it is meaningless. I say it happens too often and must mean something. Let's start guessing and cross checking with other things. My best guess is that is represents a heart.
