Long Hill Rd, Bolton

Here is a spot in Bolton that is getting torn up for development. But there is a small rock piles site in there, consisting mostly of piles with a small number of rocks sitting on top of support boulders.

I particularly like this large rock which had all of its cracks filled with cobbles. They are not easy to see in the snow.
On the way out, further south on Long Hill Rd, this was beside the road: a stone wall with a bulge.
Note the middle rock one row up from the bottom in the center, is light feldspar - not too visible in the photo, but this is a familiar pattern for piles shaped like this. Bruce noticed it. It is reminiscent of Norman Muller's piles from Rochester VT. If you shold happen to locate this pile, check out what you can see on the other side of the backyard of the house there.
