Somewhere in Croatia, I think

I saw this picture in the past and wanted to use it to point out that field clearing can occasionally result in quite carefully built piles. Of course here it looks like tidy piles are the only way to leave a little bit of land for cultivation.

My point was something like this: suppose a person grew up in a place like Croatia and then moved to America and ended up farming. Might they not automatically try to build a tidy rock piles because it is the way they learned to do it?

Those aren't Crotatia, I think it is the Azores.
