This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

More big piles, also from Carlisle
Some piles from last May: These are similar to the "Big Piles" from Saturday, and not too different from that Stow "Turtle". There were four in all near a small pond in Carlisle. How about this one? Three of the four are built into a stone wall. One (2nd picture from the top) is an isolated oval.
