This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

From Marie Nadeau - Piles in Granville State Forest
These piles are one recognizable type of rock piles - oblong piles built directly on the ground, low without stacking, containing one or two white quartz (or occasionaly feldspar) component rocks. These piles should be treated with the most respect and care.
