Native Americans fully acknowledge Sacred Stonework

Here is a bombshell (thanks to Geophile for the link) from the Native Americans. Not only do they claim resposibility for stonework in the woods, they bring out the big guns and demand that state preservation officers and state archeologists be trained to recognize ceremonial stonework - if they are to be involved in any federally funded or related development activities.

"The USET Board of Directors recommends that the Federal departments and agencies facilitate regional workshops between Tribes, State Historic Preservation Offices, archaeologists and Federal Departments and Agencies to facilitate a better comprehension of these concerns and a correction of these dismissive and destructive local policies...."

Here is the full USET resolution:

I think this is big news. It means our retarded State Archeologists are going to have to learn something if they want to make pronouncements about development projects with any federal funding components.
