[Not rock pile related] I am pretty sure this is a flock of glossy ibis at Nine Acre Corners in Concord.

These tropical birds are supposed to be in Florida and the Carolinas but, according to Peterson's range map, are "extending their range" into this area.

shows where the Sudbury river is overflowing between Nashautuc Country Club and Rt 117. There are about 10 birds in the flock. Wish I had more than a point-and-click camera.
