Maybe my article on the Glenford Fort had something to do with its preservation in 2017. At the time
I visited the site eight or ten years ago, it was still in the capable hands of Mrs. Cooperider, whose family had owned the
property since the 1830s. She had mentioned to me that the site should be preserved, and
it is wonderful to know that her wish came to fruition.
