This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

When we first came here
My friend relates that when we first came to this site, I was arguing that these features were not just stones from the farm. I commented on the little piece of quartz that was in the crack of the rock: saying that someone had to have put that there deliberately. Here is the piece of quartz: Not too consipicuous.
