Killingworth CT - Acorn Bed and Breakfast

[Click here] to see some nice pictures of piles from Killingworth CT. I don't think Killingworth was much reported in this blog yet. Suffice it to say it is a big rock pile site, threatened by development with a cast of characters pro and con. The CT state archeologist was well captured on film by Ted Timreck, talking about the site and sounding like a thug.

Tom Paul, NEARA member, is shown in the photos. He showed me the site about three to four years ago.
It has a marvelous turtle effigy on it, which is represented in the second row down, to the left. Curtiss Hoffman wrote an excellent report to help preserve the site, and the last I heard, the most impressive cairns on the site will be saved. Some of the cairns are reminiscent of those at the Oley Hills site in PA

What can you tell me about Timreck's film that includes sites and whether it will be shown on TV?

I saw a preview of Ted Timreck's film but I don't know his schedule for it. It does include Killingsworth and also one of Norman's sites in Rochester VT.
