I took a walk with my father on one of Lexington's conservation lands. I have to say these Lexington Conservation Lands are tawdry affairs compared to the high woods of Acton and places further from Boston. In Lexington you get a bit of a swamp, a bit of a rock knoll, and -yes- even a bit of rock pile. These are approximately under the "i" in High School.
They are on the northeast slope with what would have been a fine view out over the Marsh. Today this is the backyard of a highschool.
Rock piles are nearly indestructible and, I believe, fairly ubiquitous. So here they are in Lexington which is a town closer to Boston. A rock pile was reported from Whipple Hill in Lexington. But otherwise these inconspicuous features are nearly firsts for Lexington.
