Montville Chamber

By Geophile

Noticed this on the Portal this morning--a new entry about a chamber in Montville, Connecticut. Probably familiar to Norman, but maybe not the rest of us. There's an allegation of Ogham.

There is no Ogam at the Montville chamber, and it is not a 'souterrain,' as it is called by many. I am presently writing an article on it for the NEARA Journal, based on a talk I gave about it at one of the biannual NEARA meetings. I believe it is Native American, and ancient.

One other comment: Good thing he says it is off Leffingwell Rd. in Montville, because I have never heard of this road, and that will keep people from finding the chamber!

Your analysis of it, I'm sure, would be more believable than his. It certainly sounds like a remarkable structure.

Kind of an elitist attitude.. Perhaps we should round up every copy of Manitou and have a book burning, lest anyone else finds the chamber?
