Another Westford Site

This is near the Tom Paul trail and is very reminiscent of the site along the same trail near Graniteville Rd discussed earlier. You go down across from the Town Hall, until you are in the valley below. There is a ledge-rock knob over the confluence of brooks, with a couple three piles.This last one is a low ground pile with one lighter colored rock.

While we are mentioning the Tom Paul trail and Graniteville Rd,. I went over there to try to see how the trail continued beyond the private lane and found a couple of other piles downhill from the road above a stagnant pond. This one pile was interesting:
A detail picture, shows a conspicuous white feldspar rock holding up the flat rock on top. This is an unusual pattern.
